At 53, the founder (Elle Daniels) of Cocoa Glow Collections is a nurse, entrepreneur, and proud mother of five, with a growing number of grandchildren, whose passion for empowering women has shaped both her career and her personal mission. Elle’s early years were marked by pain and struggle. She endured the trauma of molestation and rape, an experience that left her questioning her self-worth and battling the emotional scars of betrayal. Growing up as a dark-skinned girl in a society that often dismissed or devalued her beauty only deepened her insecurities. She spent years feeling invisible, trying to navigate a world that didn’t celebrate the richness of her complexion or the strength of her spirit.

As an adult, Elle’s life didn’t grow easier. After leaving a toxic relationship, she found herself homeless, raising five children—three girls and two boys—on her own, but with the help of her family. Relying on government assistance and battling the uncertainty of each day, Elle faced homelessness and relentless challenges. Yet, even in the toughest moments, she held onto hope and an unwavering love for her family.

Determined to build a better future, Elle made the bold decision to leave her small town in Delaware and relocate to Atlanta, Georgia. The move was a leap of faith, driven by the hope of finding new opportunities for herself and her children. It was in Atlanta, surrounded by a vibrant and inspiring community, that Elle’s journey to creating skincare products truly began.

While balancing her responsibilities as a nurse and single mother, Elle often sought solace in creative outlets. Late at night, she would experiment with natural ingredients, blending rich butters, oils, and designer-inspired fragrances to create luxurious skincare products for herself and her daughters. What began as a personal ritual of self-care soon evolved into something much greater.
